Principi di trattamento ortodontico nelle labio palato-schisi

 

Ortodonzia in dentizione permanente

 

In questa fase il trattamento ortodontico dei pazienti con schisi non si discosta sostanzialmente dal trattamento del paziente senza schisi.
I trattamenti ortodontici in dentatura permanente possono essere di tipo definitivo, volti cioè alla soluzione definitiva del caso, oppure essere di tipo preparatorio alla chirurgia ortognatica.
Nel primo caso, il paziente presenta una crescita armonica, frequentemente con un pattern scheletrico biretruso, che consente il raggiungimento di una buona occlusione dentaria con la sola terapia ortodontica.
